On Friday evening Wout-Jan van der Schans won the Roelofsen Horse Truck Prize, a top score with joker competition (1.40m), with Eloma’s Blue SFN (Mr. Blue x Tygo). The Dutch champion of 1985 and 1987 scored 1460 points in 64.76 seconds with the eight-year-old KWPN stallion.
Runners-up were Italy’s Gianni Govoni and the 14-year-old mare Winn Winn (Chin Chin x Wagenaar). They gathered 1300 points in 65.48 seconds. Holland’s Frank Schuttert, who is based at Jos Lansink’s stables in Meeuwen, Belgium, finished in third place with the eight-year-old stallion Denver de Liebri Z (Zang, Diamant de Semilly x Zandor Z) with 1290 points in 64.12 seconds. Jur Vrieling (Dallas VDL) and Limburg rider Aniek Poels (Quick Hamlet) took fourth and fifth place respectively.
