World Champion Jeroen Dubbeldam showed how a jump-off should be ridden and had the public cheering during the main class on Friday evening, the VDL Groep Prize. He performed a controlled and fast round in 41.72 seconds with his champion horse Zenith SFN (KWPN, by Rash R). Nine riders qualified for the jump-off of which only three managed to stay clear. Germany’s Philipp Weishaupt was one of them. He also clocked a fast time with Casilius (HOLST, by Casall), 42.19 seconds, but at the end it proved not fast enough and they finished runners-up. Third place went to Holland’s Bart Bles and Wolisco Ddh (KWPN, by Nolisco).
