FEI Driving World Cup presented by Longines
One of this edition’s highlights will be the FEI Driving World on Friday and Saturday evening. Last year the public was very enthusiastic about the Driving World Cup. They blew off the roof during both competitions. Koos de Ronde delivered a magnificent finale on Saturday evening of the inaugural edition of the FEI Driving World Cup™ in Maastricht. De Ronde beat World Cup Champion Boyd Exell and IJsbrand Chardon in a thrilling competition.

The 42 year old from Zwartewaal: “If I had to describe JIM 2018 with one word it would be AWESOME! It was awesome that the organisation staged this world cup competition, the programme was awesome, and so was the public. In addition it was also awesome to win here. It was a great competition and it is always fantastic to win as last starter. I am looking forward to November!”

New young driving star in the driving sport is Bram Chardon. The son of IJsbrand became the new European Champion this year in August and is expected to compete in the MECC.

Longines Trophy
The public can enjoy jumping on the highest level on Sunday afternoon. Last year Ireland’s top ridere Bertram Allen won the prestigious Grand Prix of Maastricht. The event’s list of honour includes big names such as Ludger Beerbaum, Franke Sloothaak, Meredith Beerbaum-Michaels, Maikel van der Vleuten, Roger-Yves Bost, John Whitaker, and the Philippaerts brothers.

In addition the programme of Jumping Indoor Maastricht is filled with international jumping competitions (1* and 4*), and includes an euregional competition for horses and ponies and the traditional Jimmy afternoon on Satuday. On Friday and Saturday the event presents great entertainment after the competitions.
