In August the organisation of Jumping Indoor Maastricht had to decide to cancel the 2020 edition of the event due to the considerable uncertainties regarding the developments of the Covid-19 virus. It turned out to be a wise decision.

However, the organisation does not want the event to pass unnoticed and has planned some creative and fun activities from 5 till 8 November 2020. All activities can be watched on the social media channels of Jumping Indoor Maastricht.

Online event
A online event with all Longines Trophy-Grand Prix of Maastricht winners of the 30 editions. All these riders will virtually return to the arena with their horses. Fans can vote for their favourite rider in one of the classes. Finally there will be a jump-off with four riders on Sunday 8 November. Who will the fans choose as ‘winner of winners’? Among the riders are Ludger Beerbaum with Landlord, Beat Mändli with City Banking (twofold winners) and Maikel van der Vleuten and Sapphire B (winners of the Longines Trophy in 2013 and 2014). Every fan who votes has a chance to win a personal guided tour at Hendrix Stables or tickets for 2021.

Instagram Live talkshow
A live talkshow will be broadcasted on Instagram for the younger fans from Thursday 5 till Sunday 8 November. Janou Hendrix will daily interview (inter)national jumping riders and fans can ask their questions. Guests will be, among others, former Grand Prix winner Olivier Philippaerts and last year’s winner Frank Schuttert.

JIM Activity Book
A special JIM Activity Book will be presented for the youngest horse fans (aged 6 till 12). The book will be full of colouring pages, puzzles, games and riddles. There will be a colouring competition with great prizes: a meet & greet with JIM ambassador Lisa Nooren and two tickets for JIM 2021. The book will be presented next week on the website and social media.

There is a lot to come and to win during this virtual edition of Jumping Indoor Maastricht. Next year Jumping Indoor Maastricht is scheduled from 5 till 7 November.
