Jumping Indoor Maastricht has always been an innovating event. This typical aspect of the event, is one of the most important focus points of the new team of organisers. This year JIM will present a new test competition format for dressage, the so-called Knock-Out.

In a normal dressage test, a rider rides alone in the arena while being judged. The new concept of knock-out means that there will be two riders at the same time in the arena and that they will ride the same test mirroring each other. It is up to the judge(s) to assign one of the two riders to the next round, what means that one of the two riders received a 'knock-out'.

Frank Kemperman, competition organiser of Maastricht, has enthusiastically worked on this concept with Dutch Chef d'Equipe Wim Ernes. If this is going to be the new form of dressage competitions in the future is not certain, but at least it is a new and refreshing experiment in the dressage world.

The competition will take place on Saturday the 30th of November and fits perfectly in the schedule together with amongst others also a master class by three-time Olympic champion Anky van Grunsven.
Jumping Indoor Maastricht will take place from the 29th of November until the 1st of December in the MECC exhibition centre in Maastricht.
