The MECC Prize, an accumulator with joker, was won by last year’s winner of the Longines Trophy, Hans-Dieter Dreher from Duitsland. Dreher had the fastest round with the eight-year-old Holstein gelding Cim Air (Con Air x Carthago Z): 49.55 seconds. Jur Vrieling held up the honour of the Netherland and finished runner-up with Carrera VDL (KWPN, Cardento x Baloubet du Rouet) in 50.91. Belgium’s Nicola Philippaerts took third place with Chilli Willi (HOLST, Casall x Lord): 55.11.
