The opening class of Jumping Indoor Maastricht, De Limburger Prize, had an all-Dutch top three.
On top was Willem Greve who had set an incredible fast time in the beginning of the competition with the talented Carrera. The 34-year-old rider from Markelo steered the 10-year-old KWPN stallion by Larino to the finish in 59.64 seconds. Just a bit slower was Eric van der Vleuten and Quivive S Z (ZANG, Quasimodo Z x Amsterdam). The rider from Someren stopped the clock at 60.30 seconds with the 12-year-old mare. The 27-year-old Hendrik-Jan Schuttert (Ommen) took third place with Expensive (KWPN, Unaniem x Karandasj) with a time of 65.10 seconds.
Belgium’s Olivier Philippaerts, brother of Nicola, who won the Longines Trophy – Grand Prix of Maastricht last year, finished in fourth place with H&M Legend of Love (Landzauber x Corgraf): clear in 66.91. The 22-year-old Karin Martinsen from Sweden came in fifth place with Cajza Cavat (SWB, Caressini L x Ralme Z).
