Gerco Schröder, sixth to enter the arena, set a time that was so fast that none of the other remaining 30 riders was able to beat it. Top riders such as Ludger Beerbaum, Luciana Diniz, Jur Vrieling, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson and Jeroen Dubbeldam were biting the dust. Gerco rode the course of this 1.45m class against the clock in 55.79 seconds with his talented nine-year-old KWPN mare Glock’s Debalia (Numero Uno x Lupicor).
The runner-up spot was for Wout Jan van der Schans and Eloma’s Blue SFN (KWPN, Mr. Blue x Tygo): 0-56.16. This combination is doing very well in Maastricht. They won the Roelofsen Horse Trucks Prize (1.45m) yesterday. Third place went to German top rider Ludger Beerbaum and Chiara (Holst, Contender x Coronado 3): 0-57.68. The fastest round was recorded by Limburg’s Lisa Nooren, 55.68, but at the expense of 4 faults.
