Emma Bocken from Limburg, only 13-years-old, won the opening class, CSI1* - 1.20m Two Phases, of Jumping Indoor Maastricht 2018 on Friday morning. The daughter of Paul Bocken, who is involved in Jumping Indoor Maastricht as the official farrier for years, rode a super fast round in 24.16 seconds with her nine-year-old KWPN mare Estera van de Vosberg. Runners-up were Robbin Robijn and Galiandra. They were almost 2 seconds slower. The USA’s Alexandra Crown was able to avoid a complete Dutch podium by finishing third with Basic.
However, the following class was dominated by Dutch riders. Bart Haselbekke won this 1.30m competition with the 10-year-old KWPN gelding Dorus (Sam R x Voltaire). Niels Bulthuis finished in second place with Genereux Fortuna (KWPN, Wizzerd x Quasimodo Z). Beau Schuttelaar took third place with Florida Balia NI (KWPN, Bustique x Lux).
