Ireland’s top rider Bertram Allen convincingly won the Limburg Prix, an Accumulator with Joker and fences up to 1.45m, on Saturday afternoon. The 23-year-old Allen, who is based in Hünxe, Germany, galloped over the finish line in 47.30 seconds with the 10-year-old BWP mare Izzy By Picobello (Cicero Z x Capriano). Runner-up Holland’s Doron Kuipers needed almost 2 more seconds with Elcapone M (KWPN, Baloubet du Rouet x Acobat II). Reigning Dutch champion Frank Schuttert finished in third place with Benur du Romet (DSP, Balou du Rouet x Damour).
