The youngest competitor of Jumping Indoor Maastricht won the Small Tour Final/Marli Hommel Art Prix this morning: 13-year-old Emma Bocken from Weert. It was her second victory this weekend. “I already competed at the Europeans for Children, but it was my first real big show. The fact that it is in Limburg makes it especially exciting and great.” Emma rode a very fast round with the nine-year-old KWPN mare Estera van de Vosberg. “The rhythm was good and I was able to make real short turns,” said a happy Emma.
Imke Gradussen finished runner-up with Feberlina (KWPN, Calvaro F.C. x Dageraad) followed by Gerd-Jan Horsmans with Celinda Z (Zang, Calvino Z x Faldo) in third place.
The Big Tour Final was won by Anthony Philippaerts, who defeated himself in the jump-off. Anthony, the youngest of the Philippaerts brothers who are all present at JIM, had two horses in this class, Insolente Des Dix Bonniers and All Right du Genet. Finally the first, a 10-year-old BWP mare by Winningmood van de Arenberg, was the fastest of the two. Third place went to Bart Heselbekke and Dorus (KWPN, Sam R x Voltaire), who won the Big Tour class on Friday and Saturday.
