Willy Wilmer was born (Baarlo) and raised in Limburg and involved in JIM as assistant course designer since 6 years. He became a course builder through his fater, who was involved in JIM from the start. Wilmer, 41-years-old, is married and lives in Weert.

What is the most difficult in course building?
To built a balanced course with a difficulty degree which is fair to every rider and horse combination.

What gives you the greatest satisfaction?
It is always satisfactory when our team can offer the riders, public and the organisation great sport.

How did you get involved in JIM?
I already came to JIM as a child together with my parents. When you are asked to come and join the course building team, that is just great.

Nicest/most special experience at JIM?
When I was young I competed in showing competitions at JIM. The highlight was in 1992 when I won this competition.

Are you still riding?
Until six years ago I was still active. Then I took the decision to fully concentrate on course design.

How would you describe JIM?
Great ambiance combined with top sport.
