After all the spectacle of the Jimmy Afternoon the four star riders took over the reins at the end of the afternoon. In total 49 combinations were on the startlist of the Limburg Prize, so the competition was fierce. Finally is was Harrie Smolders who had the fastest clear round in this accumulator with joker (1.45m) with Une de l’Othain (SF, Conterno Grande OLD x Cento). Jens van Grunsven, who was in the lead for a long time, had to settle for the runner-up spot with Doma Sue (Holst, Dollar du Murier x Corrado I). Belgium’s Annelies Vorsselmans finished in third place with Madison (KWPN, Indoctro x Mr Blue). Fourth place was for Limburg rider Michel Hendrix and Fair Field (KWPN, by Zirocco Blue).
