Jumping Indoor Maastricht without top rider Sanne Thijssen would not be the same. The organisers are therefore delighted that she has agreed to compete at JIM, which will be held from 4 to 6 November 2022.

Sanne, who won the silver team medal at the World Championships in Herning, Denmark, in August, has fond memories of JIM. "One of the best moments was surely when I was allowed to compete with my pony a long time ago. That was really a dream for me, to be able to ride in such an entourage," she says enthusiastically. Between then and now, she has achieved good results in both the Juniors and Young Riders, including a silver team medal at the European Championships for Young Riders in Millstreet in 2016.

Meanwhile, she is successfully competing at the top and she does so mainly with the Holsteiner stallion Con Quidam RB (Quinar Z x Cardino 5). This year, the duo also won the Grand Prix of Madrid and Vejer de la Frontera. Sanne has had the stallion under saddle for over 10 years now, they know each other through and through. "He has a big personality and clearly shows it when he is grumpy or, on the contrary, very happy. But he likes to work very hard and grows at big competitions. He loves that." She will come to the MECC in Maastricht with this big talent.

Sanne is looking forward to returning to JIM. "It's super fun to ride in front of your own audience, you get just a bit more support. I don't feel extra tense, I always do my best wherever I ride."
