Hans-Dieter Dreher wins Longines Trophy
Germany’s Hans-Dieter Dreher was last to go in the jump-off and rode to victory when he beat the fast time set by the USA’s Lauren Hough. Lisa Nooren, only 18 years old, finished third in front of her home crowd.

It was an exciting competition and Dreher was really happy with the result. “Colore is a real fighter,” he smiled. He said he loved the show and he hoped to return next year.

Lauren Hough was happy with her second place. “It was my horse Ohlala’s first competition after a short break since Barcelona in September. Lauren herself had an injured knee which will be treated after the Rio Olympic Games. Rio is my goal with Ohlala.”

Lisa Nooren, who was first to go in the jump-off, and she rode a nearly perfect round. “I had to take risks as first rider in the jump-off, but I tried. Her horse VDL Groep Sebech d’Ha is only nine-years-old. “I ride him for two years now and we have a very good understanding. I know him inside out.” Lisa is trained by her father Henk Nooren.”He is a great help. He can focus on details and he makes me relaxed. We discuss the course and I repeat that at least 100 times in my mind.”
