Jumping Indoor Maastricht has always been an innovating event. This typical aspect of the event, is one of the most important focus points of the new team of organisers. This year JIM will present a new test competition format for dressage, the so-called Knock-Out.
In a normal dressage test, a rider rides alone in the arena while being judged. The new concept of knock-out means that there will be two riders at the same time in the arena and that they will ride the same test mirroring each other. It is up to the judge(s) to assign one of the two riders to the next round, what means that one of the two riders received a 'knock-out'.

Jumping Indoor Maastricht is back on the international calendar and attracting a lot of international riders. The entry deadline is on the 19th of November, but the number of requests to start at this event is already overwhelming according to show director Frank Kemperman: "Up until now we have had twice as many requests as we can facilitate. Only the best riders will get an invitation; quality is more important than quantity."
Some names of top riders that will compete in Maastricht are: reigning world champion Philip Lejeune, 2006 world champion Jos Lansink, German Champion Daniel Deusser, Alvaro (Doda) de Miranda, John Whitaker and the winner of the Grand Prix of Maastricht 2010 Leon Thijssen.

On Tuesday 20 August, 100 days before the start of the renewed Jumping Indoor Maastricht (JIM), ticket sales will start and the new JIM logo will be introduced.
As announced before, a new organization is busy putting the once so successful equestrian sports event back on the calendar. JIM will be restored in all its splendour and offer top-class sport in a pleasant atmosphere.
From 29 November until 1 December the most well-known horses and riders can be admired in the Maastricht Congress Centre MECC. Of course, the best Limburg riders will get the opportunity to bring their horses at the start.
