Lisa Nooren is right on track in Maastricht. Yesterday is finished runner-up in the main class, the VDL Groep Prize, and this afternoon she raced to victory in the Chapeau Prize, a jumping class against the clock. Lisa rode her eight-year-old mare VDL Groep Centora de Wallyro, a daughter of the well-known jumping stallion Dobel’s Cento. The combination stopped the clock at 65.89.
Runner-up was her compatriot Joy Lammers who finished in 66.15 with the BWP gelding Gigolo van de Broekkant. Spanish rider Manuel Fernandez Saro, who is trained by Eric van der Vleuten and lives in the Netherlands, prevented another Dutch party. He finished third with Coquira in 66.66 seconds. Robbert Ehrens (Hisa) and Leon Thijssen (Captain Cooper) respectively took fourth and fifth place.
